Alter your voting behavior – Bawumia urges constituents of Asunafo South

The New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on voters in Asunafo South to embrace a unified voting strategy instead of the customary skirt-and-blouse approach.

Although the NPP has consistently triumphed in presidential elections within the constituency, it has faced challenges in securing the parliamentary seat, currently held by the NDC’s Eric Opoku.

Speaking to stakeholders in Sankore, Dr. Bawumia highlighted that if elected, the NPP parliamentary candidate, Francis Aduse Opoku, would be instrumental in his government.

“Vote for me because I will improve your lives. Everybody knows that in Asunafo South, you always vote for NPP in the presidential election but you don’t vote for us in the parliamentary election. But I want you to change that in 2024, stop voting skirt-and-blouse and vote straight for us in the both presidential and parliamentary elections.

“I want the people of Sankore to start changing that pattern and vote for Adusei so that I can add him in my next government. Don’t disappoint us this year we are both number 1.”

As part of his campaign initiatives in the Ahafo region, Dr. Bawumia is set to visit three constituencies—Asunafo South, Asunafo North, and Asutifi South—on Thursday.

His schedule includes meetings with chiefs, business leaders, and party supporters to share his vision and garner support for the upcoming elections.

In anticipation of the visit, several residents of Norbekoi in the Asunafo South constituency expressed their endorsement of the New Patriotic Party, affirming their commitment to vote for the party consistently.
