Isaac Wilberforce Mensah, the spokesperson for the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice, has reaffirmed Attorney-General (AG) Godfred Yeboah Dame’s unwavering dedication to fulfilling his duties.
Mensah’s statement comes amid a series of allegations and counter-allegations surrounding the ongoing ambulance case.
Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the case, previously claimed in court that the AG had approached him multiple times, seeking his cooperation to implicate Minority Leader and former Deputy Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, an accusation vehemently denied by the AG’s office.
Mensah, speaking in an interview on The Big Issue on Citi TV on Saturday, emphasized that the AG remains resolute in his commitment to upholding justice.
He emphasized that Dame’s primary focus is to ensure a fair and comprehensive investigation, remaining steadfast despite the controversies surrounding the case.
“…The focus of the office is on prosecution. We are not going to be swayed by diversionary tactics amongst others. The AG is resolute in his mandate,” he stated.
