Ambulance Case: ‘The Evidence is Clear, My Lawyers Will Handle It’ – Richard Jakpa

Businessman Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the ongoing ambulance case, has broken his silence regarding the allegations against Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame.

In an interview with EIB Network’s Legal Affairs Correspondent, Mr. Jakpa emphasized his commitment to addressing the matter through legal channels. He dismissed the necessity of any direct confrontation with the Attorney General.

“There’s no need for face-to-face. We are doing everything in court. My lawyers will deal with it,” Jakpa stated firmly adding that “The game is about evidence, that’s all.”

He stated that since the controversial tape surfaced, he has not encountered the Attorney General.

Regarding public speculation suggesting that he intentionally recorded his conversation with the Attorney General to ensnare him, Mr. Jakpa dismissed such notions as mere opinions. “That’s their opinion,” he remarked.

Despite the public attention and scrutiny, Mr. Jakpa emphasizes that he remains steadfastly focused on the legal proceedings. “I’m concentrating on the court proceedings. That’s where my focus should be,” he affirmed.

He further expressed his recognition of the significance of evidence in his case and maintained confidence in his legal strategy.

When asked about concerns for his security, Mr. Jakpa stated who has a background in security, appeared unfazed. “I’m a gorilla in the jungle, so I’m not worried about the jungle business,” he said.

He cautioned against any potential threats to engage with him professionally, asserting that amateur attempts would prove to be futile.
