By Former Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan has identified Claude Le Roy as his preferred senior national team coach.
Gyan, who debuted for Ghana in 2003 and retired as the country’s all-time leading scorer in 2019, has collaborated with various coaches during his career.
Notable among them are former Chelsea manager Avram Grant, Kwesi Appiah, and 2010 World Cup quarter-finalist Milovan Rajevac.
However, Gyan chose the Frenchman as the coach under whom he felt most “comfortable” playing for.
“I have played under so many good coaches, no disrespect but the favourite coach I was very comfortable with and I liked his style is Claude Le Roy,” He told Onua TV.
‘He gives you all the confidence in the world. He makes players comfortable. He treats starters and bench players equally.”
Le Roy led the Black Stars to a third-place finish at the 2008 African Cup of Nations hosted in Ghana.
