The Deputy National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Osman Ayariga, has criticized Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr. Ayariga’s criticism follows purported remarks by Mustapha, claiming that NPP youth are prepared for any outcomes in the upcoming 2024 elections. Mustapha is also said to have criticized the NDC National Chairman, Asiedu Nketiah, who called for a peaceful transfer of power after the elections.
In response, Mr. Ayariga took to Facebook, questioning Mustapha’s relevance in the political discourse. He argued that Mustapha’s continuous attacks on the NDC would not benefit him and highlighted a diminishing relevance.
Mr. Ayariga warned against any inappropriate actions by Mustapha, asserting that such actions would be met with a strong response that he could not withstand.
In his post, Mr. Ayariga reiterated the NDC’s readiness to defend itself against provocations and stressed the importance of maintaining a peaceful political environment as the 2024 elections approach.
“The NDC has always and will continue to make the statement unequivocally that, we shall win the 2024 elections and the NPP will hand over power whether they like it or not, so please stop living in the paradise of bigger fools.”
