Despite falling ill just hours before the Ejisu NPP parliamentary primary, former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyi’s team asserts that he will be present at the polling station before voting concludes.
Nyantakyi was hospitalized on Friday night after experiencing dizziness, reportedly following visits to several electoral areas as part of his campaign wrap-up activities. As polling commenced, the candidate remained hospitalized.

His team reports that healthcare providers have conducted assessments on the candidate, and he is anticipated to be released before the conclusion of the election.
Earlier, members of the election committee visited the hospital where the former GFA boss was admitted. Nine aspirants are vying to be elected as parliamentary candidates of the NPP for the forthcoming by-election.
The by-election was prompted by the passing of the Ejisu MP in March after a brief illness.
