The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has urged party members in Afrancho-Akomadan, Offinso North Constituency, in the Ashanti Region, to focus on policies and long-term vision rather than succumbing to financial incentives from opposition parties during the upcoming elections.
He cautioned that accepting money for votes undermines the potential for meaningful development and warned that such short-term decisions could impede the community’s progress.
While addressing supporters on the first day of the NDC’s Retail Campaign in the Ashanti Region on Monday, November 4, Asiedu Nketiah encouraged voters to support candidates who are dedicated to sustainable growth and effective governance for the benefit of their constituency.
“We will equally share monies and goodies if that is what you want instead of using that for developmental projects. How will there be development? They have enough to spend on and yet, use the meagre to get you to vote for them.
“Anyone who cannot see the development projects the NDC has brought to the Ashanti region must be overlooking them. Everyone benefits from our projects. If the other party shares monies based on status without any development in our communities, and yet you vote for them, we’ll also do the same.”
