Ghanaian forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was honored with Leicester City’s Men’s Young Player of the Year award during the club’s awards ceremony on Tuesday night.
This accolade crowns the youngster’s remarkable season with the Foxes, having arrived on loan from Sporting CP in the summer.
The event, held at the King Power Stadium, brought together the club’s playing and technical staff from all levels to acknowledge key contributors to their season.
Issahaku, who has enthralled Leicester fans throughout the season with seven goals and 13 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions, was named Young Player of the Year.

Issahaku also played a pivotal role in contributing to 19 goals and assists as Enzo Maresca’s side secured the 2023/24 Championship title, scoring six goals and providing 13 assists.
Last month, he made history as the first Ghanaian to score a hat-trick in the Championship, accomplishing this feat with three goals against Southampton in a resounding 5-0 victory at home.
With the Foxes set to compete in the Premier League next season following their triumph in the second tier of English football, the Ghanaian forward will be aiming to secure a permanent deal at the club, buoyed by his impressive performances throughout the season.
