By IBA Youth World Championship will be hosting boxers across the world to participate in an event of 13 men’s and 12 women’s weight categories starting from October 23 – November 5th 2024 in the big city of Budva,Montenegro between the ages of 17-18 years respectfully
Ghana is one the countries preparing to partake in this tournament,the national boxing youth team of ghana have been preparing intesively for some months and they are in very good spirit to raise the banner of Ghana high when the tournament commence this month of October.
The lead trainer of the ghana youth boxing team who also doubles as president of the ghana coaches association Mr. Charles Quartey has high hopes in his team and he knows the work they have put in place to bring a medal back home.
I believe in this new team and with the help of my assistant coaches Mr. Gabriel Allotey (Coach Zico),Joseph Martey & technical director Mr. Rashid Williams (Coach Believer) ghana will surely excel in this upcoming tournament.
We need co-operate bodies to come on board and help support this young team because they are determined for greatness,it hasn’t been an easy road since the start of their training and we hope for the best in the near future said the 1st Vice President of Ghana Boxing Federation Mr Dauda Fuseni.
The 2nd vice president of Ghana Boxing Federation,Mr. Solomon Otoo Lartey who has been with the team from day one also seeks support from the co-operate bodies aswell to cushion the team and any sort of help is welcome
so they can excel in the upcoming tournament this month.
