Nigerian music sensation, Adedamola Adefolahan, professionally known as Fireboy DML has recently disclosed that he turned down a couple of offers from renowned artists before ultimately signing with Olamide’s label.
According to the ‘Peru’ hitmaker prior to joining YBNL Nation, he had the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier artistes, a testament to his rising prominence in the music industry.
However, the young artiste opted for a path less traveled, choosing to align his artistic vision with Olamide, a move that has undoubtedly paid off.
The crooner disclosed this in a recent interview with Billboard News in Los Angeles. He averred that he accepted Olamide’s deal because he knew it was “the right decision.”
I rejected a couple of deals from big artists that wanted to sign me. But when Olamide came, I knew it was the right decision. And that process has really helped me in making decisions going forward,” he said.
