Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams scored twice for Athletic Bilbao in their victory over Espanyol over the weekend.

The Black Stars forward’s first-half brace played a key role in the 4-1 win at San Mames during matchday 10 of the Spanish La Liga.

Daniel Vivian opened the scoring for Bilbao just six minutes into the match, assisted by Nico Williams.

Inaki then scored twice in quick succession to extend the home side’s lead.

In the 28th minute, the Ghanaian received a brilliant pass from Alex Berenguer before finishing closely to make it 2-0.

Inaki added his second in the 30th minute, with Berenguer providing the assist to stretch the lead to three goals.

Athletic went into halftime with a commanding 3-0 advantage.

After the break, Berenguer also got on the scoresheet, increasing the lead to 4-0 for the home side, before Alvaro Tejero pulled one back for Espanyol.
