The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has filed a notice of appeal to challenge a High Court ruling that ordered the Electoral Commission (EC) to complete the collation and declaration of parliamentary results in four disputed constituencies.
The NPP argued that the collation of results in these constituencies had not been properly concluded and that previous declarations were invalid.
The High Court upheld this position, stating that the EC must complete the processes as required by law.
But the NDC’s Director of Legal Affairs, Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, announced the party’s intent to appeal the ruling, describing it as premature and flawed.
“This matter is not over. We have filed a notice of appeal to challenge this decision,” Tameklo said, addressing the media after the judgment.
