Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has stated that his campaign will stay focused, undeterred by what he describes as “insults” from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Dr. Bawumia stressed that his aim is to secure victory in the December elections by highlighting the NPP’s achievements and record in government.
On Saturday, November 2, he visited the Tano North constituency, accompanied by his longtime aide and spokesperson, Dr. Gideon Boako. Together, they engaged with voters in Duayaw Nkwanta, sharing the NPP’s vision and building support for the party.
Dr. Bawumia’s visit to Tano North concluded his two-day tour of the Ahafo Region, where he engaged with multiple communities and underscored the NPP’s commitment to local development.
In Dormaa, hometown of Dr. Gideon Boako—the NPP parliamentary candidate aiming to succeed Freda Prempeh—Dr. Bawumia expressed confidence in the party’s prospects.
He commended Dr. Boako’s dedication and deep understanding of local issues, highlighting the importance of strong representation in Parliament.
Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed his confidence in the NPP’s prospects for the December 7 elections, emphasizing the party’s achievements and his commitment to a focused campaign.
He urged supporters to stay resolute and approach the upcoming polls with optimism.
“The NDC sensing that they’re losing the election have resorted to insults, they have been insulting us. I believe you have heard some of the insults. We will not pay attention to them, we are confident of winning the elections. We will win the elections because of our good work.”
“We’re focused on embarking on developmental projects for all communities, we have developed the country. I know your concern is the road, the road from Tepa to Duayaw Nkwanta is bad. I want you to commit all the roads in my hands, I will fix the roads when I become President. I will also construct a district hospital at Dormaa.”
