The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has refuted claims of implementing a one percent cybersecurity levy on all banking transactions.
These rumors circulated on social media amidst reports suggesting that the Central Bank intended to impose such a levy to counter rising cybersecurity threats both domestically and globally.
However, in a statement released on Tuesday, the BoG categorically dismissed these assertions as inaccurate.
The Central Bank further urged the public to disregard such reports.
