Osasuna defender Rockson Yeboah has earned his maiden senior call-up to the Black Stars ahead of Ghana’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 22-year-old centre-back is among nine players added to Carlos Queiroz’s squad following medical concerns involving some of the initially selected players.
Yeboah has made three La Liga appearances for Osasuna this season, starting two of those matches and playing a total of 210 minutes.
He joined the Spanish club from Swedish side IFK Göteborg in August, having made 44 senior appearances and scored twice during his time with the club.
Yeboah has made an encouraging start to life in Spain. In his first La Liga start against Espanyol, he completed 59 of 65 passes and won six of his eight duels, including both aerial battles.
He will now join the Black Stars for Ghana’s 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia, as well as the international friendly against Morocco in October. The call-up gives Yeboah his first opportunity to represent Ghana at senior level.
