“I Have Confidence in the New Ministers” – Nana B

The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has expressed his complete confidence in the newly appointed ministers by President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.

This follows a recent ministerial reshuffle by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, conducted through the Speaker of Parliament on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, citing the appropriate articles of the constitution.

Nana B acknowledged and appreciated the President for heeding the sincere call of the NPP General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Koduah, made during the End of Year Thanksgiving. The request was to reshuffle the cabinet to infuse more energy into the governance of the country.

In an interview, Nana B argued that the timing for the reshuffling is perfect, differing from the view of some who believe that this action by the President is coming rather too late.

He noted that there have been cases where an incumbent government changed its cabinet six months before elections. Thus, having a reshuffle ten months before elections is not an unusual decision. Nana B expressed his enthusiasm for the combination of experienced individuals and youth in the various ministries.

”i am paricularly excited about this reshuffle. I am excited, first of all, for the mix, that effective blend with the experienced and the young faces with new energy. Spending three months and more in Parliament offers you the opportunity to harness more experiences, hence, i think they can do the work and i have trust in all of them,” he said.
