Noise-making ban goes into effect on May 6

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has reiterated that the ban on drumming and noise-making for this year will commence from Monday, May 6th to Thursday, June 6th, 2024.

In a statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs, Gilbert Nii Ankrah, the AMA stated that the ban is intended to halt all forms of noise-making activities within the Ga State.

The statement emphasized that celebratory events and funerals should be postponed during this period.

Additionally, the statement indicated that apart from the identifiable task force comprising AMA personnel, the Ghana Police Service, and Representatives from the Traditional Councils with tags, no other individual or group should be seen or found enforcing the reduction of noise in the metropolis.
