The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has notified its customers in the Greater Accra Region that numerous power outages reported within the distribution network were a result of a severe rainstorm that struck the area on Tuesday, April 23.
In a statement issued, ECG reassured its customers that they are actively working to swiftly restore power.
“Customers should please note that our engineers are working assiduously to restore power supply to affected customers.”
ECG urged affected customers to report outages by contacting the ECG call center at 0302611611, visiting the nearest ECG office, or reaching out through the company’s official social media handles @ECGghOfficial.
The company acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the outages and expressed regret over the situation.
