Mahama Commends Military for Restoring Calm in Bawku and Other Conflict Areas

President John Mahama has praised the Ghana Armed Forces for their professionalism and discipline, noting that their efforts have helped restore relative calm in Bawku and other conflict-prone parts of the country.

Speaking at the 2025 End of Year West Africa Social Activity (WASSA) held at Burma Camp in Accra on Friday, January 23, President Mahama noted that Ghana’s security situation remains largely peaceful, despite isolated incidents of insecurity and conflict in areas including Bawku, Alavanyo, Nkonya, Nkwanta, and Nantong.
