“NPP have demonstrated overtime but they don’t have what it takes to govern this country” – Lawyer McDonald

Sam McDonald Laryea, the former Spokesperson for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Odododiodioo constituency and the current Deputy Director of the Conflict Resolution Directorates of the Greater Accra Regional Youth Wing, expressed the view that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has consistently shown a lack of capability to effectively govern the country.

In an exclusive interview with Ebenezer Junior Arthur of Accra Live, the Deputy Director of Conflict Resolution attributed this to the current state of the country’s politics, pointing to the perceived incompetence of the Akuffo-Addo Bawumia government. Additionally, he suggested that the NPP should relinquish control to the NDC, allowing Mahama, the nation-builder, to spearhead the nation’s development.

“Well, everybody is crying in this country, the incompetent administration and how things have gone from worse to bad and its simply the fact that NPP have demonstrated overtime but they don’t have what it takes to govern this country for which reason they must bow down their heads in shame and hand over power to the National Democratic Congress so that John Mahama the Nation Builder will come and build the nation however they have destroyed it.”

In Odododiodio as the director of election ask me of my vision, is to retain the seat and I’m to bring out strategies to make sure were not just retaining the seat but to make sure we’re going to win with a wider margin than we won in the year 2020.” he added.

“It is God who chooses his own to elect them to become leaders, so if the opportunity time comes and it’s the will of God and the will of the people to lead the good people of Odododiodio, I would certainly avail myself ”. he said.

“I have a strong and positive relationship with him, currently serving as his personal officer, and he holds the role of a political godfather for me. I’ve contributed to the National Democratic Congress in various capacities, including serving as the personal assistant to Hon. Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, the MP for Odododiodio. I have also acted as his spokesperson and represented the party in the constituency. Additionally, I served as the director of elections for the party in the Odododiodio constituency.
